Yanko Kral mixes a crossover of dub step, trap, grime, bass music and other ”disco” genres. The fact that he plays at all prominent local festivals such as Grape, Pohoda, Uprising etc. just proves his qualities.
David Doubek a.k.a. Ventolin lectures at a university at day and entertains people at concerts at night. To play live he uses old samplers, analog synthesizers and archaic drum machines. After having released his debut called Totem, he became one of the most sought-after electronic players. Last September, a song album called Vitajte (Welcome), full of three-minute hits was released.
DJ Galagha as the leader of Friday’s cyclomarathon is, along with Gabanna, one of the very first ambassadors of broken beats in Slovakia and are deservedly regarded as the fathers of the drum’n’bass scene. Except for his DJing skills, his successes include launching the legendary Ragtime radio or his very on TV show called ClubLab on the waves of Funrádio. He cooperated in booking and producing the Pohoda festival or events at Subclub. These days, you can hear him on the mike of Rádio_FM in PoPo_FM or the authorial show called Scéna_FM that he broadcasts with Yanko Kral every Friday.
The musical project called MALALATA which has been active for 11 years now is a synonym for a unique fusion of Balkan beats, gypsy music, cumbie and reggae. The duo of Slovak DJs combine these rhythms into unique sets complemented with boisterous and contagiously energetic performance. Under the baton of the MALALATA duo, clubs not only all over Europe have pulsed. Its rhythms have bestirred even the far-away Japan and Mexico. MALALATA has also performed at festivals such as Pohoda, Grape, Uprising and at the same stage as big-timers such as Parov Stelar Band, Goran Bregovič, Mahala Rai Banda, Fanfare Ciocarlia and N.O.H.A.
