Crazy, contemporary, sci-fi, future, light, pathetic, romantic – a mixture of various visuals and cuts of video art works made especially for the space of the Aula Maxima. A combination of diverse approaches to the work with dynamic image and sound in the place of the beginning and end of the studies of each and every graduate of the Technical University in Košice. The students of the Atelier of New Media will present their individual approaches to fine art in an interplay of ever-changing image layers.
Boris Vaitovič is an author coming from the fine-art background of Košice. After having graduated from the school of arts he continued studying at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and later at the Faculty of Arts of the TU in Košice, the Academy of Fine Art in Prague and he finished his post-gradual studies at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bstrica. Over the recent years he has been working as a pedagogue at the Faculty of Arts of the TU in Košice. The author of the program that has been developing for a long time is known to the public through his intermedia installations presented at artistic events such as Nuit Blanche, Návrat vody do mesta (Water Comes Back to the City) or multiple showpieces at Steelpark in Košice. His recently successful projects include the presentation of an audiovisual installation presented at the European Researchers’ Night in Brussels or the project realized in cooperation with the Department of Physiotherapy, Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation covered by the organization called Creative Industry Košice. Also, he is the author of media installations in the project of “Invisible Hotel” made for the Yasmin hotel in Košice. Along with Juraj Vajó and ATila Tverďák, he is a permanent member of a musical formation called Urban Hudák.
