Daniel Boschung, a Swiss photographer, will present his unique project of portraits called “Cartography of a Face” in the Tabačka Gallery in Košice. Portraits of people are taken by means of a special robot called RoboPhoto with the incredible resolution of 900 million pixels. The robot with a digital single-lens reflex camera attached to it takes 600 pictures that are combined on the computer in a single final photography. Duration of the exhibition: from September 10 to October 7, 2018 on workdays from 12:00 AM to 08:00 PM.
As an artist, Daniel Boschung (1959) focuses on the interaction between man and machine as well as on the switch from analog to digital era. Before he commenced his artistic career he had worked as a commercial photographer and photo journalist. His pictures were published in magazines such as Bilanz, Manager Magazin and Geo-Saison.
